Welcome to this week’s council and community news update

Cold weather continues

With the potential for snow tonight and a cold health alert in place until Sunday 12 January, we are urging residents to check in on those who may be more vulnerable to cold temperatures and to stay warm and well by heating your home to 18 degrees if you can. If you have an urgent medical problem but it’s not an emergency, please consider using NHS 111 or your local minor injury unit or urgent care centre, as all A&E services in the region are extremely busy.
